Fine Art & Antique Valuation
Please note: fine art valuation cannot be completed online unless provenance documentation is available for the item. For works without provenance, an in-person or on-site assessment is required.
- Full written description of each work — medium, dimensions, condition, provenance
- Artist attribution and period identification
- High-resolution digital photographs
- Research against current auction data, gallery prices and recent comparable sales
- Current market replacement value
- Condition notes and conservation observations
- Insurer-accepted formatting and methodology
- Securely stored for future revaluation update
- Tell us about the work or collection — we'll advise whether an on-site visit is needed or photographs are sufficient
- On-site or photographic assessment — for most fine art we recommend an on-site visit by our specialist. Photographs may be sufficient for prints, smaller works or initial scoping
- Each work is researched against current market data, auction comparables and provenance
- Receive your certificate — emailed to you within 7 business days on Standard, or 3 business days on Express.
Please note: if your item is particularly complex and necessitates further research, additional time beyond the stated timeline may be required to accurately appraise and value your item. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
