Watch Polishing & Bracelet Repair
A luxury watch is often the most worn piece in a collection. Over time, dents, scratches and dulled finishes are unavoidable. Our specialist watch polishing service restores your timepiece to showroom standard.
Every watch is fully dismantled and meticulously refinished by hand — combining decades of experience with modern equipment. Bracelets, cases and bezels are addressed individually so the original lines and proportions are preserved, not over-polished. Over-polishing kills value. We don't do it.

Watch Bracelet Repair
Bracelet maintenance is essential to the long-term life of a luxury watch. Over time, links wear, pins loosen, and a stretched bracelet can fail unexpectedly — often with serious consequences.
Our specialists can repair, refit and restore every component of your bracelet, so you can wear your timepiece with confidence. A well-maintained luxury watch can be passed down through generations. That's the point.
How it Works
Assessment
Bring your watch to our Hatton Garden office. A specialist examines the case, bracelet and finish and talks you through what's advisable — and what isn't.
Written Estimate
You receive a clear estimate before any work begins, along with a note on which surfaces we intend to touch and which we intend to leave.
Work Carried Out
The watch is dismantled and each component refinished by hand. Bracelet repairs are carried out at the same time where needed.
Inspection & Collection
Every watch is inspected before it goes back to you. If you'd like an updated insurance valuation, we can produce one at collection.

Frequently asked questions
Done badly, yes — significantly and permanently. Done properly, it shouldn't. The risk comes from aggressive polishing that rounds case lines and removes the original brushed and polished contrast. We work conservatively and preserve original geometry, and if we think a watch is better left alone we'll say so.
It depends on the reference, the finish and the condition. Case-only work sits at the simpler end; full case and bracelet refinishing on a complex reference costs more. We assess the watch and give you a written estimate before any work begins.
Most polishing and bracelet work is completed within one to two weeks. Vintage references and jobs requiring parts to be sourced take longer — we'll give you a realistic timeline at assessment.
Usually, yes. Stretch is caused by wear in the links and pins. Depending on severity we can tighten and refit the bracelet, or replace the worn components. On badly stretched bracelets, replacement of specific links may be the better option.
Yes, and with particular care. On vintage references the value often sits in originality, so our approach is deliberately minimal. We'll discuss exactly what we plan to do before starting.
No. We're an independent Hatton Garden specialist, not an authorised dealer or brand service centre. For movement servicing under manufacturer warranty you'll want the brand. For polishing, bracelet work and restoration, independent specialists with valuation expertise are frequently the better choice — and considerably faster.
It's the logical moment. Polishing and bracelet restoration can change the condition grade of a watch, which affects replacement value. Having the valuation produced at collection means your insurance records reflect the watch as it is now.
